When the design team at IA Interior Architects entered the 2006 NeoCon 'Westedge Design Competition,' their assignment
called for a unique, cutting edge approach that would elevate both art and function in fresh and unexpected ways. According to
then IA manager Len Scott, using glass as a dominant feature in their 'Corporate Office Suite' was a natural choice for a concept
that emphasized light, texture and fluid lines. He consulted with UltraGlas to help realize this vision, and the collaboration
yielded stunning results winning the NeoCon Westedge 'Best of Show' Award and, subsequently, the UltraGlas 2006 'Creative Excellence Award.'
We asked Mr. Scott, now president of Scott Associates and a 40-year veteran of the interior design trade, to share his philosophy
as well as insights into using glass as a creative architectural medium.
