UG: Your projects almost look as if the glass inspired the design, rather than then other way around. Is that true?
LS: Actually, no. But, it's interesting that you ask, because it's essential to me that the glass fits perfectly with the overall design style. Everything flows as though it were designed together, as one unit.

UG: How difficult is that to achieve?
LS: It's actually pretty easy, if you have a glass designer like UltraGlas, who understands your vision and can create virtually any look you need.

UG: You call your company a full-service design consulting firm. What does that mean?
LS:
We're more than designers; we're also project managers. We work with our clients through every stage of the design and construction. Our first objective is getting to know our client, understanding what it is that they are trying to express and why. Then, it's our challenge to find a way to realize that vision within their budget. Once the design is finalized, we get the subcontractors on board as a team and make sure we're all in the project for the same reason – to deliver the best possible result for the time and money spent.

UG: What part is most challenging?
LS:
It depends on the project. Usually it's finding ways to achieve what the client has in mind without exceeding their budget, or compromising quality. That's often the biggest challenge, but it's also the most rewarding part.
