Selective or overall application of silvering adds a semi-reflective, opaque mirrored effect — creating a surface with beautiful reflective qualities (the silvering effect is particularly dazzling when used in conjunction with colored glass). Silvering is generally used in applications where the silver-treated side of the glass is not accessible to contact.
