Silvering — adds reflective, opaque mirrored effects, creating surfaces of depth and beauty — and is dazzling when used in conjunction with tinted glass (colors).

Silvering may be applied overall or selectively (top-right image) — and is generally used in applications where the silver-treated side of the glass is not accessible to contact (like mirrors, it may be scratched).

Antique silvering — (shown in the two lower images) may be used to achieve a variety of elegant aged appearances.
