A broad range of items can be appliqued to UltraGlas. The applique of unique items and materials is a particularly effective way to add drama, continuity, surprise, meaning and beauty to your UltraGlas installation. A vast number of possibilities exist, including: glass “jewels” (which are available in many colors); custom, mouth-blown glass roundels; colorful glass beads; “frit” (fractured clear and/or colored glass that adds reflective sparkle to an area); beveled glass elements, pate-de’verre (crushed and molded glass), and even shaped glass pieces. UltraGlas has also demonstrated the effectiveness of many more unusual materials — including the use of bent copper tubing and die-cut copper sheeting.
