Since UltraGlasTile is made by reforming regular glass with heat, not by abrading it (as is done with etching or sandblasting), the integrity of the tiles have not been eroded — nor do they have an absorbent and abrasive surface. Impact resistance is comparable to or greater than that of ceramic tiles.
